Serving buyers, sellers, and relocations in NW Indiana for over 20 years

Valerie Rosenblum: Your Real Estate Partner

A bit about me

Hi. I’m Valerie. I’ve been a realtor in NW Indiana for over 20 years where I’ve been fortunate enough to watch the growth of the community in and around Northwest Indiana. I consider it my honor to be able to help clients find - or sell - the home where they can build memories for years to come.
To me, buying and selling a home is more than a transaction. It’s emotional. Maybe you're buying a home to raise your family or moving to a new area. When you work with me, you’re getting a partner who is passionate and committed to giving you the best experience possible.

My real estate philosophy

I understand that, to most people, buying and selling a home is more than a transaction. It’s emotional.

The experience can be scary. It can be exciting. And it can be bittersweet. You want to know that you're making the right decision and don't want to feel pressured or rushed by your agent.

Whether you live nearby or are based far away, when you work with me, you’re getting a partner who is passionate and committed to working with you to understand your needs and giving you the best experience possible.

How I work with buyers

If you give me the opportunity, I will do everything in my power to understand your desires and find the ideal home for you. My commitment extends from scouring the market to discover the perfect fit, all the way through closing and beyond. You can rely on me to always be there to support your questions and needs, just like a trusted family member would.

How I work with sellers

Unlike most agents who make big promises, I do my research to ensure your home is listed at an amount that maximizes profit but still sells and appraises. However, I don't simply rely on the MLS for a successful sale. From repairs and staging to captivating property photos, direct outreach and open houses, I go above and beyond to put your mind at ease and sell your home as quickly as possible.

What my clients say

What is there not to say about this awesome lady realtor! She ‘held our hands’ during our recent experience representing us with buying our new home and selling our old home. After building 33 years ago we were apprehensive about the process not only to downsize but to find the right person to assist. But with Valerie’s experience it was smooth sailing. She is a leader with genuine concern for her clients and we always knew where we were with the process or what to expect! We can’t say enough about our recent experience with her!
My husband and I had been searching for a home over a year. Looking for horse property was ‘different’. We called Valerie to show us a house. As we walked through the property, we knew it wouldn’t work for us. But Valerie wanted to know more. She was trying to get to know us enough to match us with a home! Within three months we had a signed contract. Some unusual turn of events made our purchase a difficult one, and we saw yet another side of Valerie. She was tough when she needed to be! Her knowledge, experience, and work ethics are over the top.

Relocation: a unique transaction requires an experienced partner

Working with relocation clients has become a specialty of mine. This niche type of purchase or sale often involves working within tight time constraints and supporting a client who may still be living in another part of the country – or world.

When moving your family from a different country, state or city, or selling the place you've been calling home, you want to know that you’re in good hands and have a realtor who you can trust – knowing that they understand your needs and are working in your best interest.

I understand the added stress that a relocation can introduce, and it's my pleasure to be there for you every step of the way. Beyond helping you find the perfect home, or sell your current one, you can rest assured that I am here to represent you in all facets of the process, even when you can't be in the area yourself.

From happy relocation clients

From day one, Valerie exceeded our expectation. Coming from out of state, we had a limited window of opportunity to find something that would meet our needs. Valerie burned the midnight oil researching and then showing us over 30 listings in just two days. When we found something, she made the arrangements for all the necessary inspections and even helped us to arrange financing. Valerie resolutely stepped in to overcome obstacles when others were content to let the deal die, and without her help, we would not be in our home today.
Moving is stressful, but relocating across the country within limited time frame can be a true nightmare! Thanks to Valerie, our relocation to NW Indiana was easier than any of our previous moves. We flew to the Chicago area to meet with Valerie and by the end of our first day, we had decided on a home! Because she took the time to get to know us and determine our needs, she made our selection process a snap. Of all the real-estate agents we have dealt with in the past, Valerie was the best and we attribute that to the fact that she really cares about her customers.

Kind words from James Beckett,
Former Regional Mgr, Cabela's

My family and I have moved around quit a bit in our lives and moving around is not easy. When it came time to move from Fort Worth, TX to La Porte, IN I thought, “here we go again.” The relocation company contacted us and said that someone will be calling to help you find your new house. I said ok, but I was doubtful.
It wasn’t even 24 hours later and the phone rang and it was Valerie Rosenblum. Valerie went over a lot of things on the phone the first time we spoke, but all I could remember is her WOW factor. We flew to Indiana to meet Valerie. She took us around to several houses. She didn’t force anything on us. She wanted to make sure that the house we chose was the house that we would possibly spend the rest of our lives in.

After this trip my wife worked with Valerie everyday. There was even a day that Valerie called and said the water softener was getting low. She told us not to worry. Valerie had went down to the local store and bought 4 bags and put them in herself. These bags are 40 lbs each and here is Valerie trucking them down a flight of steps and emptying them into a barrel. I have never heard of such outstanding customer service from a realtor, and I’ve moved 7 times in 11 years!
Valerie was there for us every step of the way; always smiling and always had a can-do attitude. Valerie made miracles happen on a daily basis and that is why she is the BEST IN CLASS.

Something Valerie said during this particular meeting really hit home. Valerie said, “If I don't feel like part of your family when I am finished taking care of you, then I haven't done my job.". This lady is PRICELESS and anyone that could ever cross her path would be honored.
